Gary is one of the guest speakers at the State Library of Queensland Cartoon Workshops for children and teenagers being held from January 14 -25, 2013. His specific classes are on Monday January 21 at 2.00pm -4.00pm and Thursday January 24 at 2.00pm - 4.00pm.

He will be available in the Library Bookshop at 4.15pm on each of those days to autograph his books. This is a chance for kids to meet and chat with Gary.

The cartoon workshops are so much fun for kids and if they have a creative flair this is a good opportunity to inspire their creativity.

With 10 years experience in conducting cartoon workshops through the State Library of QLD, Gary Clark is well recognised in teaching children creative drawing and thinking.

Cartoon workshops by Gary Clark combine cartooning demonstrations with fast paced interactive learning to teach students the basic foundations of the creative process from idea development  to the finished cartoon. Lessons are structured to be fun and encouraging yet with an element of pressure to challenge and bring out the unique creativity of each student.
The workshops include lessons on how to draw and also how to think creatively.

Each workshop is adapted to accommodate the specific age group and class size.
